2010 has turned out to be an extremely full time of ministry with House of Prayer Edmonton!

Here are a few of the recent highlights:

• On February 25 I was at the Prayer committee meeting for the Rock the River tour that is being held here in Edmonton in August 2010. Over 120 churches in Edmonton have become involved in this major youth outreach event.
• On February 26 I was able to meet briefly with the prayer coordinator for the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association festival outreaches, Wanda Bailey. 
• Last weekend I attended the National School of Intercession. It was hosted here in Edmonton at Harvest Vineyard Church. On Saturday I was able to have lunch with Rob Parker who is the founding director of the National House of Prayer in Ottawa.

There are a lot of exciting things happening at House of Prayer Edmonton, so stay tuned and I'll do my best to keep you updated with the latest information!.

On December 27-29 I was in Medicine Hat for The Pursuit conference. It was an amazing time and one that is worthy of an entire blog post! (my plan is to provide such a specific update very soon, so stay tuned!)

The past week I have been getting ready to travel down to the National House of Prayer in Ottawa. I will be providing updates on that trip in my personal blog, 'A View from the Point'. (more people subscribe to that blog, so I'm doing the updates there rather than here).

While I am gone, the 'Nine to Noon' prayer times will continue at the HoPE prayer room. There are awesome people who are covering each day this week. I will be back in the HoPE prayer room on Monday Dec. 14!

I have also been writing some new posts in my Prayer Journal blog. The latest is entitled "Why I Pray".

On Wednesday Nov. 18 I travelled down to Medicine Hat with Al Seeman to meet with Antonio Baldovinos who is the director of Global Prayer House. They are hosting a conference called The Pursuit next weekend and it will serve as a kick-off for their ministry. It's going to be a fantastic conference so I encourage you to check out the Pursuit website. 

 This weekend was the November edition of the 24 hours of prayer and worship. Once again, God's faithfulness was evident and there was grace to pray for the entire 24 hours!

On Sunday, November 22, I spoke at Zion Baptist Community Church in both morning worship services. I spoke on Luke 18 and called the congregation to the ministry of intercession. There was a good sense of God's Presence and a number of people connected with the ministry for further information and contact.

Overall it has been an exciting few days of ministry and I am looking forward to another week of 'Nine to Noon' and then going to the Pursuit conference next weekend!

This past weekend I was busy keeping up with the recent outpouring of the Holy Spirit at the International House of Prayer Missions Base in Kansas City. It has been an amazing experience to see how social media is impacting how news spreads and how it enables people from around the world to connect into what is happening right now in Kansas City.

I have some clips from the outpouring that you can watch if you are interested. I highly recommend them.

On Friday night at House of Prayer Edmonton, a group of us gathered for our regular Friday night time of intercessory worship. On Friday Maria Collett wrenched her back and a rib popped out of alignment which put her into very intense pain, yet in spite of that she was able to lead worship. This was a significant answer to prayer (just ask her!)

On Sunday morning I spoke at Renaissance Community Church on the story of Jesus being anointed by the sinful woman at the home of Simon the Pharisee. (see Luke 7:36-50)

On Monday night I attended a meeting with Wanda Bailey who is the prayer coordinator for the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association. She is in town to meet with some prayer leaders in the city regarding next year's BGEV youth outreach in Edmonton called 'Rock the River West'. This will be happening in August and is connected with similar events in Calgary and Vancouver. House of Prayer Edmonton will obviously be connecting into the prayer base for this event.

As always, it was a event-filled weekend and I was honored to be part of these ministry opportunities.

This past Sunday afternoon I was at the celebration gathering of the Link Christian Community, which is a network of house churches. They meet together once a month for worship and teaching and this month I was asked to come and speak.

Al Seeman and I went together and had a great time sharing a meal and then enjoying the service with the Link community.

As I prepared last week I felt God direct me toward Luke 7:39-50 and the story of Jesus being anointed by the sinful woman at Simon's house. It was great to be able to pray through the passage all week at the HoPE prayer room during 'Nine to Noon'. 

Over the next month there are a number of opportunities that have opened up:

• Nov. 8 @ Southfork Baptist in Leduc
• Nov. 15 @ Renaissance Community Church
• Nov. 22 @ Zion Baptist 

After that there are some very exciting opportunities that I'll let everyone know about very soon, so stay tuned!!
