A New Week

Well it's just after 7:30 a.m. and normally I'd be working to get the kids ready for school, but they have a professional development day (actually for the next 3 days) and so I have some extra time to update my blog.

I have never been a morning person but somehow over the past year I have found God helping me to get up earlier in the mornings and spend some time in prayer. These morning times of prayer really set the course of my day and it has got to the point where I find them quite essential. More and more I am discovering the impact of beginning my day by spending time with God. The time alone, to process and order my thoughts and to pray for my family is so significant. I believe that my prayers not only set the course of my day but also for Pam and the kids.

I am filled with excitement and anticipation for the week ahead. I've got a number of meetings and God is doing so many things these days at House of Prayer Edmonton that I can't wait to see what doors open this week and how things develop!

Today I will be in the prayer room from 9 - Noon and on Mondays we always pray for the pastors and shepherds in the Edmonton area. We are also going to dive into Psalm 23 this week. I've been stirred up over Psalm 23 and wrote a short blog post about it on my Prayer Journal blog.

I hope you also have a great week, filled with a great awareness of God's Presence with you!
